Lives of Others

2005, a Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck film

Under Surveillance in Cold War East Germany.

Living under the watchful eyes and moving in between places unnoticed and secretive soon develops into a sense of constant oppression of sorts and a mental fatigue ensues. Anger and resentment build like a callas on the soul and mind. Peace is ever momentary.
